Salty Rim Bar & Grill<\/em> is the name of the pool bar in the cottages area of the new Margaritaville Resort<\/em> in Kissimmee.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

During the day this is a busy hub of activity serving drinks and lunch to everyone enjoying their huge pool complex. As I arrived in early evening, they were already shutting down.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The front of the resort is home to Sunset Walk<\/em>, home to the actual Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville <\/em>restaurant and club as well as numerous shops and a movie theater. References to the famed ballad singer and his songs are located throughout.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
There is a large traditional hotel at Margaritaville Resort<\/em> but the cool place to stay is in the cottages located towards the rear. They range from 2 bedrooms to 6 bedrooms in Caribbean pastel 2-3 story buildings. These are for sale so you can purchase and live in them or rent them out.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Some homes even come with their own pool. We will be back to cover Margaritaville <\/em>itself in the near future. Please note that the Margaritaville Restaurant<\/em> at Universal CityWalk<\/em> remains operational as a restaurant and gift shop but no live entertainment at this time.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

By now you know…..Independent Bar<\/em> is now Barbarella<\/em>!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

But just as it should be on a Saturday night, resident DJ Indie John (USA) in the perch!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

While the name has changed, one thing hasn’t. Saturday nights are still 80’s New Wave. The club was packed!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Because everybody loves the 80’s!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Taking over after midnight, DJ Rob Bates (USA).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A lot of Indie John’s set was the well-known early 80’s MTV hits. Rob played those plus more of the darker songs of the era. Rob will be back next Saturday night too!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Dance floor stayed packed!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

There was no reason for me to go anywhere else last night. Come check out Barbarella <\/em>every Saturday night.
