Sunset Music Festival was supposed to occur last weekend over Memorial Day but the covid-19 situation forced them to move it to Independence Day weekend. But now that the coronavirus situation remains unsettled in Florida and the possibility of mass-gatherings remain very risky, SMF has cancelled their 2020 festival in Tampa with a promise of some kind of event right after Christmas. This is a smart move. Many festivals this year have been pushed back to future dates but Sunset‘s new date made it the first of the big ones to come up. There was just no safe way to pull this off so soon. Even those festivals scheduled for Labor Day and afterwards remain questionable. We’ll continue to keep you apprised.
