Club Reports: Privilege Pool (Baha Mar), White Party (MSC Seashore)

This is the Baha Mar hotel complex located on Cable Beach just west of downtown Nassau, Bahamas. Made up of the Grand Hyatt, SLS and Rosewood hotels, it’s one of the swankiest places to stay on New Providence Island. It was our destination yesterday during our port-of-call on MSC Seashore. By now you know that if we’re traveling, we like to share entertainment choices in the various cities we’re in or ships we’re on.
To get there, you can take a taxi which runs $30-40 each way. Or you can take the No. 10 jitney minibus for $1.50 each way. We chose the latter.
Our destination was the ritzy Privilege pool complex located between the hotels.
And on this windy but otherwise beautiful day, this is where wealthy spring breakers were hanging out.
In the booth we found DJ Selecta Jmac (BS). He was the DJ here the very first time we visited Privilege back in 2018 so it was great to see him again.
The music was a mix of Top 40, Hip Hop hits, Reggae, Soca and other Caribbean vibes.
There was time for lunch and drinks during our visit before heading back to the ship.
A good time was had by all.
After rejoining our boat, it was time for that famous cruise ship tradition of traditions, the White Party.
It was supposed to occur on the Long Island Pool deck, Deck 18 aft, but it was just too windy out there. So, it was relocated to the ship’s Atrium area, Deck 5-8 forward.
Arriving a half hour early, Country Line Dance lessons were in progress as the crowd grew.
And when the 10:45PM start time arrived, the place was packed!
Jammed on all decks!
DJ Burn (RP) was back on the stage, starting the show with “Levels” followed by “Sweet Caroline”. Typical cruise ship party songs played included “Macarena” and “Gangnam Style”, lol.
The concept of a “white party” is to get everyone to wear white. Invariably, not everyone gets the memo.
Confetti explosion!
And a good time was had by all.
