Club Reports: Good Times Bar & Grill, Iron Cow

It’s Friday then, Then Saturday Sunday what? We began the weekend at Good Times Bar & Grill in north suburban Maitland.
We had arrived early for “Disco Night” but just a small crowd in the club.
DJ Michael Knight (USA) was in the booth.
The music a mix of 70’s, 80’s and perhaps even a few 90’s in there.
We haven’t seen DJ Michael Knight since he used to do an every Thursday night Top 40 set at Dexter’s in Lake Mary, as seen in this Blog archive photo from 2016. So it was great to see him again!
Just a few on the dance floor for songs by Prince (USA) and Rob Base/DJ EZ Rock (USA).
And some Bruno Mars (USA) and Alicia Bridges (USA). Fun stuff.
Shift change and music change at 10PM with a switchover from “Disco Night” to “Abyss Night”.

The first half hour a lot of New Wave as heard at Barbarella in Winter Park before switching it over to more of an Industrial and Dark Wave set.
Wear whatever color you prefer when you come to “Abyss”, as long as that color is black!
“Abyss” takes place the first Friday night of each month.
We ran into a number of peeps from the Goth scene. Some we knew but some were new.
Dance floor filling-up and a queue at the door meant it would be getting even more crowded.
DJ Lavidicus delivers an equally dark “Memento Mori” night the third Saturday of every month at Barbarella. Last night at “Abyss”, a good time was had by all.
We couldn’t stick around because we had another event to attend at Iron Cow in Orlando’s “Milk District”.
We knew it was going to be a good night at IC when we saw this crowd gathered outside on the front patio.
And this crowd gathered inside on the dance floor!
DJ Kay-S (USA) was in the booth when we first arrived.
The music, fast-moving Drum & Bass.
DJ had the dance floor bouncing!
MC Collaborator (USA) donating some vocals.
Dance floor was jammed.

The bar was jammed too!
We ran into so many peeps from the DnB scene. Some were new but most we knew.
When we went back inside, the headliner had come on.
DJ BCee (GB).
Continuing with high energy DnB.
First time seeing BCee and apparently our last time too as he makes his final U.S. tour. He plays tonight in Tampa and on Sunday night in Jacksonville.
Such a great vibe in the club.
Dance floor stayed jammed.
A good time was had by all.
