And now for something completely different. We began our Saturday at Three Odd Guys Brewing in north suburban Apopka.Yes, this is a brew pub where most of their beers are brewed right here on premises. What was different is that the DJ sets were being played by kids!DJ Lone Wolf (USA) was on the decks when we first arrived playing mostly Breaks.And there was quite a crowd on-hand!They were each playing about 30 minute sets. Up next, DJ Jalapeño (USA).He played an amazing House set to the oooh’s and aaahs of the crowd.DJ had the club bouncing.There were a lot of kids in the club. Some were paying attention. Some weren’t.A large bar occupies the inside of Three Old Guys Brewing.Fresh hot pizza and wings available!Up next, DJ Electro Raptor (USA).He switched the music back to mostly Breakbeats.His fans here to film the event.Spotted in VIP: EscapeFM (USA) and his cool niece.Spotted by the dance floor: DJ J-ROK (USA) and Roxana.Spotted by the bar: DJ JoeG$ (USA)Spotted on the dance floor, operating at high speed: DJ Spark-D (USA).Spotted in VIP: Danyel with DJ HMC (USA).Opening with a couple Hip Hop songs, DJ CruPup (USA).Making her first public appearance ever!We asked daddy DJ CruDawg (USA) about her opening selections and he told us he had no idea what she was planning as CruPup had produced her set all by herself. Awesome!The lasers were flying!The end result.The future is full of talent and we hope to see them do this again! The kids portion of the program would only last a couple hours but the “grown-ups” would play until late. Fun venue and a good time was had by all.Next stop was the “Christmas in July” house party in south suburban Belle Isle.We call it a “house” party because it took place in someone’s house and because DJ 12K (USA) was playing House.Let’s take a quick tour. The living room.The kitchen.The dining room!Mostly House but we may have heard some Nu Disco in there at times.The host’s “Christmas In July” party is an annual tradition!Showing some Christmas spirit!A good time was had by all.Next we went into the DTO CBD and Elixir Bar.We walked into this. First time seeing their new hurricane-proof weather canopy. While rain late at night is relatively rare in central Florida, it can happen.The opener DJ Jesse James (USA) was still on when we arrived and he was playing some great House.The dance floor was filling-in as the magic hour approached.And then shortly after midnight, there he was, the headliner…..DJ BAKKE (CO/USA)BAKKE is a resident DJ at Club Space in Miami.Spotted in VIP: Babita and DinaAlso spotted: Dina and WillSpotted on the dance floor: DJ Mighty Shari (USA) and AliBAKKE had the dance floor bouncing.Bakke had played here at Elixir this past March.House music all night long.Big thanks to Justin Zeger for the professional courtesies.
