Club Reports: Debonair, The Robinson, Monkey Bar, Grumpys Underground

We began our Friday night in downtown Orlando with a stop at new club Debonair. It was our first time back here since we visited in January.
Still in the perch, DJ AT (USA).
The music, a light Hip Hop mix.
There are two main rooms at Debonair. This large room is mainly for dining.
While the other room houses the bar along with VIP seating.
At this very early hour there wasn’t anyone dancing but we’re told it gets packed later at night.
When we stepped outside to leave, this Mariachi band was playing Ranchera in the CitiPlaza courtyard.
Next stop, The Robinson Cocktail Room.
Located up on the second floor of this building, the entry line to get in can get lengthy.
In the Disco Room at The Robinson, Friday night resident DJ Chino (USA).
Having just ended a House set, Chino moved over into a Latin House, Reggaeton and Hip Hop set.
The bar is located in the main room.
It was absolutely jammed!
They open the separate “Disco Room” around 11PM.
When the music is good, it doesn’t take long for that room to get populated.
You know the place is legit when you see all these shiny disco balls over the dance floor and above the DJ booth.
They added this LED wall to the DJ booth since our last visit.
Absolutely jammed!
Next stop, The Monkey Bar. In the vast sea of Top 40 that is Wall Street Plaza, Monkey Bar is an island oasis of House music. Located upstairs above Waitiki, Monkey Bar can be difficult to locate.
In the booth, DJ Meghan Lee (USA).
House music all night long.
She had a crowd on the dance floor.
There was a crowd too at the inside bar.
The outside balcony bar was busy too.
DJ Madimoneymil (USA) up next.
Just when you think you’ve met every DJ in Orlando, you meet some more. First time seeing her play.
And then at midnight, there she was!
The headliner, DJ Arina Krondeva (RUS/USA).
More House and even some Breakbeats in there.
Arina had the club bouncing. Monkey Bar is Orlando’s above-ground underground club.
Speaking of underground, time for one more stop…..Grumpys Underground.
DJ Solstice (USA) was in the booth when we arrived a little after midnight.
At Grumpys, Breaks are nearly always on the menu.
DJ J-ROK (USA) had played earlier.
We ran into so many peeps we know from the scene!
Closer to 1AM, we spotted DJ Amber Jane (USA) with DJ Meags (USA). Together, they are DJ duo Snack Pack (USA).
Meags would take over next.
Going “old skool” on us with songs such as “Fine Day”.
Meags had the dance floor bouncing.
She was quite animated all-set long!
Everywhere we went last night, a good time was had by all.
