Club Reports: Abba Night, White Hot Glow Party (Norwegian Jade)

We’ve uploaded the latest parties attended onboard Norwegian Jade the past few days. By now you know that if we’re traveling we like to share entertainment choices in the various cities or ships we’re on. We begin with Abba Night ft. the hits of 70’s band Abba (S).
DJ Maff (WV) was in the Spinnaker Lounge booth to deliver the music!
The show was introduced by the Assistant Cruise Director Renan (BR).
The ship’s Animation Team brought the 70’s threads!
Abba hits such as “Dancing Queen”, “Take A Chance On Me” and “Knowing Me, Knowing You” got the floor occupied.
The fun continued with “Super Trooper”, “Gimme Gimme Gimme” and “SOS”.
And the dance floor got jammed for classics “Mama Mia” and “Waterloo”.
The Entertainment staff remained in the club to keep everyone dancing!
Abba nights have become pretty standard aboard cruise ships but what we really liked about this time is that the songs were DJ-driven meaning the original music. Last month on MSC Splendida live band Big Little (DOM/SRB) played the Abba songs. While they did a great job, there’s nothing like the real stuff!
A few months earlier on Norwegian Jewel, the band Playlist Duo (RP) provided the songs.
After the 45-minute Abba show, the music continued with Top 40 hits.
You know Spinnaker Lounge is a legit club because it has a shiny disco ball above the dance floor.
At Abba night onboard Norwegian Jade, a good time was had by all.
Last night was time for Norwegian Cruise Line‘s famous White Hot Party aka the Glow Party. This is the party where guests are invited to dress in all-white if possible.
Of course DJ Maff was on hand to deliver the music at Spinnaker Lounge. Back home in St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Maff is both a club and radio DJ.
The preparty featured a lot of Classic Dance hits such as “Rhythm of the Night”, “Another Night”, “Be My Lover” and “Better Off Alone”.
The actual show finally began with a routine by the Norwegian Jade Dancers.
And right from the start, the dance floor got jammed!
Lots of white clothes on the floor but you could wear what you brought with you in your suitcase if you didn’t bring white. NCL used to sell a cheap “White Hot Party” tee shirt in their gift shop but we haven’t seen that in years. Sadly, the “glow” items provided didn’t really glow.
The music was a good mix of EDM and Top 40 hits such as songs by LMFAO (USA), Dua Lipa (GB/AL), Black Eyed Peas (USA), Darude (FIN), David Guetta (F) and Rihanna (BDS).
DJ had the club bouncing.
The ship’s Animation Team was in the club.
Queenie (RP) coming through!
Minnesota USA was on the floor!
Ontario Canada was represented!
How low can you go!
“Call Me Maybe”
“Fireball”
As this cruise sadly draws to a conclusion in just one more day, it was another fun party onboard and a good time was had by all.
