Club Reports: Club 33, White Party (MSC Splendida)

By now you know that if we’re traveling, we like to share entertainment choices in the various cities or ships we’re on. Nights 2 & 3 of this 7-night voyage on MSC Splendida have come and gone and last night included a visit to the unsigned ship’s disco Club 33.
The music was directed by DJ Mizo (I/ET) as DJ Joel (EAK) on the far left looked on.
The crowd was far smaller than on the first night. A competing karaoke star show in a different lounge drew away some of the guests while early morning tours to Cairo and Giza kept many in their room.
The first night was all EDM at Club 33 while last night was more on the House side with a lot of House remixes of classic songs of the past.
For instance, Mizo played House remixes of Hues Corporation (USA) hit “Rock The Boat”, Michael Jackson (USA) “Beat It” and Yves Larock (CH) “Rise Up”, just to name a few. It was hard to leave the place!
The ship also held their “White Party” two nights ago.
Musical duo H&M (E) finished their set as DJ Mizo took over.
The show began with several fast-paced performances.
Having attended numerous such parties on other ships, these skits were a first.
The ship’s theater performers did a number.
As did the ship’s Entertainment staff.
The theme of the White Party is the DJ visits a number of countries around the world and then plays a song representative of that country. We had seen basically this show on MSC Seashore last year.
Big thanks to Entertainment staff member Rita (P) for the Bachata lessons!
Packed to the rafters!
Big motivated crowd for the show with most following the “Dress In White” requirements.
A good time was had by all.
