Club Reports: The Corner, Iron Cow, The Vanguard

After last weekend’s visit to Toronto and Buffalo, it was great to be back in Orlando where Independent Bar Barbarella The Corner is Friday night’s new home to underground House music
We arrived to find DJ Jacobus (USA) at work in the booth.
Even at this early hour, there was already a contingent on the dance floor.
Spotted at the bar: DJ Elias R (USA) with DJ Dominick Morrison (USA). Elias would play after midnight.
This new Friday night event began a few weeks ago with a $10 cover charge but that has been eliminated as they try to build an audience for it. The hugely popular “Sundown Sundays” night at adjoining The Patio began the same way.
So no excuses now to not give this a try.
And then over in Orlando’s Milk District, Iron Cow.
Last night’s headliner was already on when we arrived: DJ tINI (D/E).
Doing an all-vinyl set!
The darkness and fog were turned-up high so it was hard to get pictures. It was jammed!
House/Tech House had the club bouncing.
Spotted on the dance floor: DJ Freeda Sol (USA)
tINI is originally from Germany but is now based in Spain.
Good luck taking pictures in here, lol.
Next stop, Firestone, Firestone Live, Venue 578, The Vanguard.
Arrived to find DJ Luccio (USA) still on.
Dance floor was packed!
Spotted at the barrier: Katherine and Britain
Spotted on the dance floor: Leona and (insert name)
Spotted near the front: Stacey, Leona and Mahamoud
Spotted on the dance floor: DJ Oscar Granados (MEX) with friend.
If there’s a Trance show in town, chances are the Miami-based DJ Luccio will open it!
Progressive Trance had the crowd bouncing.
And then, there he was! The headliner, DJ Paul Van Dyk (D).
Everyone’s cameras came out…..
…..and the lasers were flying!
Very dark and foggy in here too so it was hard to see him let alone take pics of him.
He was a lot easier to see when he played at Gilt Nightclub in 2018.
His set was mostly mainstream Progressive Trance, at least during my visit.
And a good time was had by all.
