Our friends over at Theme Park Shark have sent us an update on the club scene at Universal CityWalk. As you will recall from our prior article, CityWalk hours were reduced to 12 Midnight closing times but apparently with Halloween Horror Nights now in progress, they’ve been extended to 1AM again.Red Coconut Club has been rebranded, at least during HHN, to Dead Coconut Club. We’re informed that there are no Universal classic horror movies being played in there after all but there is a DJ in there playing Dance music with some Halloween-themed tunes being intermixed at times.There are some spooky drink specialties. They’re open from 5PM to 9PM as a haunted cocktail lounge and from 9PM until 1AM as a dance club! Yea!The Rising Star karaoke bar stays busy and as in the past, there’s a DJ between karaoke sets.Dueling pianos can still be found at Pat O’Briens.And of course Bob Marley’s stays jammed for a live Reggae band with a DJ between sets.Sadly, CityWalk‘s main dance club The Groove is being turned into an escape room called Great Movie Escape and construction on that project continues.
