Concert Report: Streamline Rooftop Party (Daytona Beach)

Spring Break in Daytona has been a famed destination for generations so when we heard there was going to be a rooftop DJ party at the Streamline Hotel on SR A1A, it got added to our list!
The Art Deco gem is right across the highway from the Atlantic Ocean and those waves provided a backdrop to the party.
The sun never came out though as the weather ranged from fog to mist and at one time, a light drizzle. But it didn’t spoil the fun!
Daytona’s famous pier was just a couple blocks away.
We arrived just before 4PM and caught the tail-end of a House set from DJ Kris Klutch (USA).
Even at this early hour, there was already a handful dancing!
We know Kris Klutch from Orlando’s Breaks scene so it was a surprise to see him at a House show. He nailed it though!
The rooftop has a cute little indoor bar area and it stayed busy all night.
DJ Andrez (USA) up next, beginning his set with what I would describe as Chill.
But after a few songs, he pushed up the tempo with vocal House and it got the dance floor even busier.
Spotted in VIP: The always fashionable Katey with DJ Berto (USA).
Spotted on the dance floor: DJ Evan Gamble Lewis (USA) with Amanda
Andrez had the crowd bouncing!
And Evan Gamble Lewis would come on next.
When she wasn’t swinging balls…..
She would take drink and food orders for the bar!
The balls were popular and looked even better lit up after dark.
EGL’s set began with what I had described as Acid House but he said it was Psytrance. It was definitely fast-paced Psytrance after the first few songs!
DJ duo Audiotrap (USA) delivering the House.
Everyone was in a great mood and their set brought more dancers to the floor.
You probably know Audiotrap better as…..
…..DJ Rob-E and DJ Dave Gluskin.
Spotted on the dance floor: Break-A-Dawn with Manderz.
The 7PM set was brought to us by DJ Viera (USA) from Orlando.
It drizzled a bit during his set which kept the dance floor emptier than it had been.
Day turned into night.
Many of his selections had a “Big Room” vibe to them!
One hour sets kept the action moving! In the 8PM slot, DJ Tiddy (USA) from Jacksonville.
Mostly a non-vocal House set until near the end.
The weather cleared, it actually got warmer as the night went on and the dance floor filled-up.
Breaker chicks became House chicks last night!
Spotted on the dance floor: Baby Doll and Roger
As the DJ right before the evening’s headliner, his set was perfect.
MC Andrez bringing up the excitement level.
And then right on time at 9PM, the headliner!
DJ Steve Lawler (GB)
And the dance floor reached its activity peak.
Lawler’s set had everyone bouncing!
View from above.
His nickname the “King of Space” was earned from his residencies at Space Ibiza!
Lawler delivered us a great 2-hour set of his signature House and Tech House.
And way too quickly he ended it with Shapeshifters (GB) hit “Lola’s Theme” and DJ Caleb Dent (USA) took over to close out the night.
Taking turns with Mr. Disco Lemonade himself, DJ Ronnie Lopez (USA).
Spotted on the dance floor: DJ Tiddy with his entourage.
Spotted in VIP: DJ Divine (USA) with the übercool Brooke.
Spotted by the booth: Chris with DJ Sisco (USA).
Yeah, the weather could have been better but the night could not have been any funner!
Everyone played great sets and a good time was had by all.
