Club Report: District 721 (Sint Maarten)

Thursday night in Sint Maarten and looking for some nightlife!
But first, time for some daylife! One of the most popular attractions in St. Maarten is Maho Beach. It’s famous not so much for the surf but for its location at the foot of the runway for Princess Juliana International Airport.
And what brings the largest crowds to the beach is the 6X weekly arrival of the Air France flight from Paris and the 2X weekly arrival of the KLM flight from Amsterdam.
Both are operated by large widebody Airbus A330’s.
The takeoffs are amazing as well since the hot jet blast blows across the beach and pushes many towards the ocean!
Air France and KLM side-by-side on the tarmac. As the island is half French and half Dutch, it makes sense that those countries flag carriers serve their Caribbean island.

Now for the nightlife at District 721.
Wasn’t sure what to expect but walking into this really cool open-air courtyard.
And here we found opening DJ Maestro (SXM) playing a lot of Top 40 and EDM.
Every table in the club was occupied.
DJ Big Boss (SXM) would take over later with more EDM and a lot of early-00’s Classic Dance.
One of the unique aspects of District 721 is that it’s almost like a food court with multiple walk-up counters serving tacos, kebabs and pizza.
Towards the rear of the outdoor space is the entrance to the future Boom Boom Night Club, opening in the next month or two. It will be a traditional dance club.
If you’re in Sint Maarten, highly recommend this unique venue. A good time was had by all.
