Club Report: Elixir Bar Saturday Night

You don’t HAVE to stay home on Saturday nights if you don’t want to. Last night we wandered the streets of downtown Orlando to find out what’s up. Bars and clubs are still shuttered but restaurants with bars are allowed to be open such as Mai Thai. I heard Latin being played the two times I passed by although there was no DJ in the booth. They need to bring back a DJ!
You can’t drink at the brand new Liquor Library but you can take some bottles to go home with you! It’s located on Orange Avenue just north of Washington Street.
The duo Dapper Duck and Downtown Pourhouse were open; apparently they have a restaurant license in order to be open.
With a new restaurant downstairs, The Robinson was open upstairs.
Shots was not open. According to media reports, they had their liquor license suspended last weekend. That suspension also impacted Mathers Social Gathering around the corner.
There was nothing in the news about The Basement being suspended. For unknown reasons they were not open last night either.
If you’re looking for a club atmosphere downtown though, the only venue we’re aware of is Elixir Bar.
Saturday night resident DJ Chino (USA) in the booth delivering the goods!
Even at 10:30PM last night there was already a crowd moving on their famous outdoor patio.
DJ Chino is also the Friday night resident DJ at The Groove at Universal CityWalk…..when CityWalk is open! They remain closed at this time.
House music all night long!
They were noticeably stricter at enforcing the mask rule last night. If you were eating or drinking you could take it off but otherwise they had personnel walking around enforcing it.
Chino played a lot of Classic House last night; it reminded me of a night at Mannequins!
These two were LIT! Very cool.
You can listen to Chino’s live stream this afternoon at 4pm EDT / 2000 GMT here.
Elixir is the place to be on Saturday nights. A good time was had by all.
