Club Report: Elixir Bar

An overall peaceful protest march made it’s way through downtown Orlando late Saturday afternoon so I was wondering if anyone was going to go downtown. The police presence was heavy with 2-4 police cars stationed at every downtown intersection. The same venues that were open last week were open this week.
The same venues that were closed last week were closed this week. So far the Governor has not allowed regular bars and clubs to reopen.
You know by now if it’s at all possible on a Saturday night, I’m going to drop by Independent Bar. Last night it wasn’t possible.
Elixir Bar is primarily a restaurant so they’re allowed to be open. And it’s the downtown place to be if you’re looking for House music.
Arriving before 11PM, we found DJ Oteo (USA) in the booth.
And a rather light crowd initially on the famous Elixir patio.
Dance floor activity was beginning to pick up.
House music!
People kept flowing in and all of a sudden the bar was jammed!
Some “Melbourne Shuffle” going on!
DJ Chino (USA) taking over around midnight.
Some were dancing, some were texting.
The music had everyone bouncing though!

You can never go wrong with Go Go girls.
DJ Chino is the Friday night resident DJ at The Groove in Universal CityWalk. While his set last night was mostly Vocal House, there was one segment that sounded like we were back inside The Groove.
Social distancing? No. Masks? No.
But a good time was had by all.
