Downtown Slowly Reopens!

THIS is the city, Orlando, Florida. Things are slowly returning to normal and amid rumors that some venues would be open last night, we returned to downtown to search them out!
Cocktails & Screams is the Halloween-themed venue on West Pine Street.
Offering a number of spooky concoctions, the bar was busy.
There were reduced capacity limits but no one was wearing a mask.
We’ve visited several times since they opened last year but this is the first time encountering live entertainment. If you’ve never been, the place is amazing!
Shots Orlando had a long line outside waiting to get in.
Reduced capacity and social distancing kept the line long. It didn’t move during the 10 minutes I waited in it so I finally gave up and left. Other nearby places that were open included The Basement, Mathers Social Gathering and Harp & Celt Irish Pub.
Over on Orange Avenue, Corona Cigar was open along with Avenue Gastropub, Dapper Duck and Orlando Pour House.
Mai Thai was busy and an increased number of outdoor tables on the sidewalk were also all occupied as a DJ played Hip Hop inside.
I saved the best for last! Elixir Bar had reopened!
On their famous outdoor patio, DJ Chino (USA) was delivering great House music! The booth was located at the street end of the patio.
A faux wall blocked their normal DJ booth area and thus reduced the expansiveness of the patio.
Good crowd on hand.
Not a lot of social distancing though and no one was wearing a mask.
DJ Chino is the Saturday night resident DJ at The Groove in Universal CityWalk.
The inside bar stayed crowded too.
Back outside, a good time was had by all.
