Club Reports: Wall Street Plaza, Monkey Bar, Chillers, Independent Bar, Gilt Nightclub

If you remember yesterday’s article about Friday night, it was 49F° downtown and Wall Street Plaza and much of downtown was a ghost town. So Saturday night was just 5F° warmer yet downtown was packed! Seriously?
On the Wall Street stage we found DJ Justin Korndogg (USA) playing Top 40.
The portable bars were back on the street and there were people outside!
Spotted on the street: Brian & Nicole
And there was dancing in the street too! What a difference 5° makes!
My favorite place within the Wall Street Plaza complex is Monkey Bar. But you have to find the secret stairs or secret elevator to get there!
In the booth we found DJ Dity (USA) and DJ Lauro (BR/USA) playing Downtempo House.
No one was dancing this early but the inside bar was active.
As was the bar on the outside balcony. Monkey Bar is a hidden gem!
Next over to Chillers.
DJ Troy (USA) on the decks playing Top 40 and mostly Hip Hop hits.
There was a small bit of dancing going on.
But Chillers is all about the alcoholic slurpee machines with flavors such as Show Me Your Coconuts and Purple Orgasm.
You know by know if it’s at all possible on a Saturday night, I’m going to drop by Independent Bar.
Just as it should be on a Saturday night, DJ Indie John (USA) in the perch.
The Saturday night music early to mid 80’s New Wave!
The dance floor was jammed!
Everyone knows the words to the 80’s! (Except that one guy.)
Have you heard about the new Thursday nights at I-Bar? It’s all 80’s hits without the New Wave! It began last Thursday and I heard it was amazing. $3 White Claw, $3 Tito’s and no cover charge makes it even more amazing, all led by DJ KC Cuts (USA).
Because everybody loves the 80’s!
It’s about at this point that my camera quit working and I had to switch to my phone. Gilt Nightclub.
DJ duo Lost Kings (USA).
Place was pretty packed!
Sorry for the photo quality.
We saw them play at EDC-Orlando last November.
It was similar last night although I thought their EDC show was more EDM while last night they played a lot more Heavy Bass.
A good time was had by all.
