Club Reports: Neon Beach, High T, Grumpy’s Underground

Friday night in the city and beginning our evening at Neon Beach.
With a special edition of “Sunglasses At Night”.
Arrived just in time to catch the tail-end of a set from DJ Derek Fereal (USA) playing House.
Love the Florida theming! The bar area, which is set in the middle towards the rear of the club, was busy!
The hard-to-miss DJ booth is also set towards the rear but on one side.
Soon it was 11PM and DJ Dack (USA) took over.
Still a large crowd at the bar…..
With more and more shifting over to the dance floor.
Of course at any House show you’re going to find Amelia and Storm up front!
Dack continuing the House vibe that included several 80’s & 90’s hits remixed to a modern House beat!
All too soon midnight arrived and time for another shift change.
With DJ Duke (USA) taking control next.
Dance floor stayed active.
Neon Beach has a cool selfie wall where you can sit and snap a picture of yourself.
The music with a House / Tech House vibe to it.
Over the years we’ve seen DJ Duke play at notable downtown clubs such as Celine, Monkey Bar and Elixir.
We spotted Kat in VIP with her roving camera!
A good time was had by all.
This place on Pine Street was most recently called Sound Bar and Backbooth before that. Soon it will be called High T, a nighttime speakeasy with Alice In Wonderland theming. We stopped by to check on progress but it’s not open yet and the ETA is June. Check out our OEN article this coming Monday with a number of other downtown updates.
OK, away from the Orlando CBD and into the Mills/50 District, home to Grumpy’s Underground.
Deejay Shaolin (USA) in the booth in this club that has become Orlando’s new de facto home of Breaks.
Big crowd on the dance floor!
Shaolin’s set skewed towards Booty Breaks.
The music was high-paced.
First time seeing Deejay Shaolin since he played during Day 3 of EDC-Orlando last November! LINK
If they’re playing Booty Breaks, only fair that there’s some booty!
Such a great vibe in here!
And a good time was had by all.
