Concert Report: Dua Lipa (Amway Center)

Back in Amway Center last night for the first time in a couple years.
Following the signs to a special “Floor Entrance” just for us guests hanging out in the pit.
The opening act came on around 7:30PM.
Singer Lolo Zouai (USA) doing a half-hour Pop set looking cute in her slouch socks but I was not familiar with her or her music.
The crowd was already beginning to build and you had to arrive early to snag a good viewing spot on the floor.
Second act was singer Caroline Polachek (USA).
Wearing a very cool Bohemian torn dress and over-the-knee boots, her 45-minute set was more Indie-Pop. While I was not familiar with her either, she does have an array of songs to her credit on YouTube.
And then, the show of her her new “Future Nostalgia” Tour…..
Arriving with 10 cobalt blue dancers…..
The headliner…..singer Dua Lipa (RKS/GB).
Clad in a solid yellow bodysuit, she looked pretty amazing!
And she stood-out compared to the dance team.
The show stayed busy with movement.
I don’t listen to Pop radio so I didn’t expect to recognize many of her songs but I was surprised how many that I did know!
Costume change to a white/silver metallic number.
With some ass showing in this one!
Getting “Physical“.
Her dance team was pretty resplendent in their own right.
Love Again
Break My Heart
The stage props weren’t particularly elaborate compared to some concerts but it didn’t matter because everyone was here to see the singer.
Another costume change.
The cute “Good In Bed“.
Lots of 90’s retro going on like big hair, baggy pants & crop tops!
An EDM segment included her hit with DJ/Producer Calvin Harris (GB), “One Kiss“.
Dua Lipa’s “Future Nostalgia” album actually dropped in 2020 but covid19 delayed this related tour until this year!
Her amazing collaboration with Sir Elton John (GB), the “Cold Cold Heart/Rocket Man” mashup!
The dance team & backup singers team joined Dua Lipa on stage near the end.
When this brightly lighted “object” began coming down from the stadium’s ceiling, my friend Art correctly guessed the next song!
Current hit “Levitating“.
WoW!
Sadly, we did not get the EDM version played on satellite radio but the Top 40/Pop version.
One more look at her entourage.
Great concert!
Confetti explosion to conclude the show!
A good time was had by all.
