Concert Report: DJ Talla 2XLC (Ace Cafe)

Once known as Orlando’s famed nightclub The Edge, a complete gutting and renovation of the building has turned Ace Cafe Orlando into a cutting-edge music venue in its own right! And last night, Ace Cafe went Trance!
The night began with an opening set from DJ Suzy Solar (USA).
We don’t normally comment on DJ attire but Suzy Solar was absolutely adorable in her 90’s retro JNCO‘s!
Just a handful on the dance floor at this early hour.
Festival pricing was in effect as it often is for DJ shows here but please note you get a “triple” for that price.
Her Trance set operated at high tempo! She tells Orlando Entertainment News that they’re working on a big show for as soon as April of this year so stay-tuned; we’ll keep you updated!
We last saw Suzy Solar perform at Electric Daisy Carnival – Orlando back in November!
All too soon it was time for the next headliner!
DJ Radion6 (NL)
Dance floor activity had picked-up a bit.
What they lacked in numbers was made up for in enthusiasm!
First time seeing Radion6.
The Dutch producer is on Armin van Buuren’s (NL) Armada Music label.
Spotted on the dance floor: Holly & her Orlando Trance Family group.
Spotted by the bar: Chris Hodges of CME Productions LLC, the instigator of this event, along with Stephanie, Nino & Nicole.
Closing with some vocal Trance and Motorcycle (GB) hit “As The Rush Comes” had me choked-up; such a great song!
And then there he was! DJ Talla 2XLC (D)
He was as animated as I’ve ever seen him!
The lasers were flying!
The light show was as impressive as I’ve seen it indoors at Ace.
I counted a little over 100 patrons in the massive club so it never did look very crowded. If you put the same 100 in Bikkuri Lounge where a lot of prior “Lost In Trancelation” events were held pre-Covid, it would have been packed!
Indeed, that’s where we last saw the Frankfurt-based DJ play. PHOTO LINK
He had the crowd bouncing! Look for some more big name shows from CME Productions as soon as March. We’ll keep you updated on that too!
And a good time was had by all.
