Club Reports: The Abbey, Dapper Duck, Celine Nightclub, Aloha Beautiful

Beginning our Friday night rounds at The Abbey.
Where we walked into THIS!
The live band Rockit Fly (USA).
Every other month or so they have an 80’s Night at The Abbey and it often features this band playing 80’s Rock.
With classics such as “You Give Love A Bad Name” and “My Sharona” (although the latter may technically be late 70’s).
Some early Halloweening!
The crowd skews heavily towards the female persuasion; ain’t nothin’ wrong with that! You’ll find The Abbey in Orlando’s Lake Eola District.
Located right downtown along Orange Avenue, Dapper Duck is a small sports bar. They were able to remain open during last summer’s covid19 closures because they were also a restaurant.
We stopped by because we heard DJ Xavier Maxwell (USA) was playing.
I got the impression that a lot of “regulars” come here to drink, chat and watch sports on TV.
Xavier Maxwell is also the Monday night resident DJ at STK on beautiful Pleasure Island.
The background music is Top 40 hits old and new.
Next stop, Celine Nightclub.
Somehow my camera switched over to “soft focus” at this point so they’re not going to look as crisp as normal. On the rooftop, we found DJ D-Day (USA) playing House.
The rooftop was pretty crowded.
Inside, we found DJ Mija (USA) had taken over the main stage.
I had expected some Heavy Bass from Mija but it was a pretty straight forward House set.
Originally from Phoenix, Mija is now based in Los Angeles.
Decent crowd in the club but overall kind of empty compared to most Friday nights.
Probably because everyone was over at Aloha Beautiful.
DJ Joeski (USA) had taken over right at midnight.
First time seeing him play since 2017 at Vinyl Arts Bar! PHOTO LINK
The bar was packed…..
The dance floor was packed!
House music all night long!
Spotted at the icon: DJ Freda Sol (USA)
Spotted in the Tech booth: DJ Dominick Morrison (USA)
Spotted on the dance floor: Crystal
Spotted taking a selfie: Nazila
You can never go wrong with Go Go girls.
Aloha Beautiful is a relatively new venue located on Pine Street where Joysticks previously operated. It’s primarily a Karaoke bar but on occasion promoters will take over the spot and bring in DJ’s.
Joeski’s music selections kept the dance floor jamming!
Lots of South Pacific theming is ignored when it’s a House night!
Everywhere we went last night, but especially here, a good time was had by all.
